Shock-tactics in Advertising
This project was the practical element of my Undergraduate Dissertation project. This required me to graphically represent my Dissertation, which focused on the use of shock-tactics in advertising. To do this, I chose to create some of my own shocking images by writing my dissertation onto a naked body.

This brief aims to raise awareness about the truth behind fake products. While many consumers opt to purchase cheaper 'fake' brand products online, few understand the organized crime networks that benefit from trade. Prostitution and drug smuggling in some overseas locations are funded by the huge amount of money the fake product trade nets every year.

The Royal Divorce
Instillation set |
Memorabilia |
FDA Year 2 Final Design brief
Here I created selected memorabilia for a made up future
Royal divorce, taking the style and feel of the wedding memorabilia that went
on sale at the time of the Royal Wedding.
The deliverables consist of one plate, two china cups and a
tea towel. Creating a similar look to the past or present memorabilia that has
already been sold. I have altered the text that now reads, “commemorating their
divorce”. With the imagery of the happy couple I manipulated their expressions
using Photoshop making them look unhappy or smug. As for the patterns and illustrations
I have kept them similar to give a false conception of what I am trying to
advertise.
The Godfather 3D re-release BA Hons final major
Direct mail & Guerilla marketing instillation |
Posters |
For my BA Hons final design brief I produced an integrated campaign to promote the 3D re-release of The Godfather. The campaign will be aimed at 15+, fans of The Godfather films and people who haven’t yet got to see it. The main aim was to get the audience to feel like they are participating in the film and not simply observing.
The deliverables consisted of 2 main teaser posters to advertise the film, a direct mail piece in the format of a forensic bag that includes two tickets to the film and various other goodies. An App, which interacts with the film allowing the audience to scan over scenes and specific characters in the movie providing a case study file on the suspect. The audience are then asked a series of question about what they have learnt from this information if they are successful they will be given a digital NYPD detectives badge. The guerrilla marketing aspect of this project consists of re-enactment of the one of the famous scenes the decapitation of the horse’s head discovered in bed of the Hollywood director Waltz.
